A future where melanoma and skin cancer are prevented, detected early, and treated equitably, with improved outcomes for all Australians.

To leverage the collective talent and resources of member organisations to reduce the burden of melanoma and skin cancers through collaboration and advocacy.

The initiatives of AMSCA's members focus on four strategic pillars: prevention, early detection, research and survivorship.

  • Advocate for national public education 

  • Advocate for regular population monitoring of skin cancer prevention, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours to capture trends over time

  • Advocate for investment to create sun-safe environments.

  • Support the implementation of a national risk-stratified melanoma screening program

  • Ensure there is a skilled workforce to support the early detection of skin cancer.
